Montax imposer Basic

Montax imposer is a plugin for Adobe Acrobat since version 6 (not Acrobat Reader). It is a tool for sheet mounting, placing the pages of a pdf document on one or more resulting sheets. It makes it faster and easier to print business cards, tickets, invitations, as well as newspapers, magazines and books. It finds application in offset printer, prepress, copyshop, it is also useful for personal use. The output of the program is a pdf for any digital printer, illumination unit or CTP.

Montax imposer allows you to knock out pdf in a snap in a variety of ways. In addition to standard mounting, where pages are placed side by side on the sheet in the order they appear in the source pdf, it allows many other variations. The "Cut and Fold" type of assembly is designed for e.g. printing numbered tickets - after cutting the resulting sheets, just place the individual blocks on top of each other and the tickets will already be in the correct order.

Another type is the 'Booklet' sheet assembly, which is designed for e.g. printing magazines, newspapers, books, etc. Montax imposer also allows for complex mounting variants, e.g. cross-fold, double cross-fold, combinations thereof and many other sheet mounting alternatives.
