Everyone has a dream. My friend and scientist Morgan Grundlagen had one. He dreamed of one day breathing his soul into an inanimate piece of metal. Eventually, with the help of other scientists, he did. He created a golem. But it turned against its creator and began to ravage the entire city...

Morgan asked me to come and see him. He tried to persuade me to join a team of scientists who were involved in top-secret research into artificial intelligence. I thought, why not. If it turned out that something the world had never seen before had actually been discovered, it would be a mistake to stand by. I packed my bags and headed for the train station. And then I had my first encounter with that steel monster...

The depth of betrayal is significantly different from any adventure game released to date. Right from the start of the game, you'll be gripped by a gripping story that will keep you intrigued and in suspense until the very end. The whole plot slowly unravels. At first, you have no idea what's going on. It's only over time that some of the clues start to make sense. While playing, you have to concentrate like hell to find all the hidden objects in each game location. And you also need to figure out when and how to use them. You will always be rewarded with another shift in the storyline.
