VideoSubFinder

VideoSubFinder is a program that can automatically detect and extract subtitles from videos that contain hardcoded text (hardsub). The program uses digital image processing algorithms to detect frames with subtitles, and then generates a separate subtitle file (including timings). The program can also generate subtitle images for subsequent processing and recognition by other software (e.g. FineReader).

The program can be used to extract subtitles from videos in various formats, including AVI, MP4, MKV and others. VideoSubFinder is also available free of charge for personal and commercial use.
