TIP
|
The basic principle of web filtering is to sort web pages into categories. The software defines twenty-three categories of web content and includes a comprehensive database of categorized addresses. A network administrator selects the categories that are undesirable from your company's perspective and determines whether to monitor or block these categories.
Central Solution
The software is installed between the corporate network and the Internet. It can thus monitor web queries from all workstations on the network. The administrator does not need to set up web filtering on each computer separately.
Multiple filtering levels
Web queries coming from workstations are marked as malicious or benign. Several levels of filtering are used to do this, which include comparison against a list of allowed and denied addresses, comparison against a database of categorized addresses, and finally analysis of the downloaded page.
Traffic Statistics
Graphical statistics are available for the administrator's overview of web traffic. It is possible to view an overview of the most visited web servers, the most visited categories, the most active users in a given category or the most frequent visitors to a web server.
Report from anywhere
The software is accessed via a web interface. Setting up traffic and evaluating statistics can be done from any computer with an internet connection.
