I'm sure you remember playing the game of hangman with your friends, pencil in hand. You guessed the letters and your opponent added them to the guessed word if you got it right.

After starting and filling in your nickname, you'll be taken to a menu where you can change your nickname, choose a database from which to retrieve words in the game, or launch a word editor to create your own database. The game will then launch with the preset parameters. In the game itself, you then guess the words that the generator randomly selects from the database. The _ commas show the number of letters in the guessed word, and a description is also shown for each word (e.g. Thing, City,...).

Below this is your score and buttons with the letters of the entire alphabet. When clicked, the letter will be displayed in the list of letters used and if it is in the word, it will be added and you will get a point. If not, you get a negative point and another part of the gallows is added. You get 1 point for each letter guessed, and 7 points for the whole word. If you don't guess the word and there are 7 negative points, thus taking down the whole gallows, you lose. The unguessed word will be shown and then the game will return to the menu, where you can click on ? you can continue practicing your vocabulary.

If you get tired of the game, you can try creating your own words using the editor, which can be accessed by pressing the menu button.
