Amanda and her fiancé James travel through the lonely American countryside. All around them is an inhospitable landscape, with oppression radiating from every corner.

My mind wanders to thoughts of a lone miner who, according to local lore, makes an unexpected appearance.

Amanda, without wanting to, becomes part of the story. Together with her brother, she becomes involved in events that hold a number of mysteries that affect her own family.

She is touched by her family's horrific past and dreads what horrific things she will learn.

What does it all mean? Many questions go unanswered, a haunting story waiting to be unraveled.
