Beam is a program that allows the calculation of reactions, internal forces and deflection of a single-field beam for the following boundary conditions:

- simple beam (joints at both ends)

- partially-intersected beam (hinge at one end, interference at the other)

- double-jointed beam

- bracket (one end free)

It is possible to specify any combination of loads from the following basic types:

- lone force load, the magnitude of the force and the distance from the end of the element are entered

- continuous uniform load

- linearly variable continuous load (can be only along a part of the beam)

- lone moment

To facilitate the work, a load generator has been applied to quickly specify the load, especially for roof trusses loaded by rafters (purlins) or for beams of a ribbed ceiling. The reactions of regularly spaced loads are calculated from the values of the area load and the loading width.
