The Pigeon Register is a record-keeping program for fanciers of homing pigeons. The main objective of this program is to make the pedigrees, status and results of pigeons more transparent and to facilitate the breeding of ever faster homing pigeons. It also allows the sorting of pigeons into different categories, their rating, notes and an overview of their age. It also offers a list of pigeons found and flown by other pigeon fanciers, advertising and messaging facilities. Some pigeon fanciers may also appreciate the possibility to share their family tree with selected users. It is because of the latter features that Pigeonnik works as an online database and requires an internet connection and user registration to use it.
