Volume Serial Number Editor is a tool for changing the serial number of a hard disk volume. The volume serial number is the serial number assigned by the operating system on the disk. The format of the volume serial number is: XXXX-XXXX (X maybe 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F) .This serial number is automatically generated and assigned during formatting. The editor allows you to change the serial number of your hard drive (not the physical hard drive serial number found on the back of the hard drive) without reformatting the hard drive. It supports NTFS, FAT and FAT32.
