User Menu is designed to run applications.The program does not require installation in Windows and does not use the system registry, because it uses a regular text file to store the settings. This allows the program to be placed on non-system disks or even on removable drives (Flashdisk). These so-called portable applications have become very popular recently (see http://portableapps.com for more information).
At the same time, the User Menu program is also suitable for launching portable applications because it can evaluate from the saved file path the possible change of the drive when transferring to another computer or when connecting other devices in a different order. The program finds a great use for users who, for various reasons, restore the system disk from a previously created backup. Typically, these are developers and testers.
The program allows you to record up to 450 user entries in total. For clarity, a two-level system has been created, where the main level is made up of nine categories and custom menus are subordinate, forming the second level. The categories were chosen so that related offers could be grouped together. This solution has proven itself in practice, and is sufficient in terms of capacity and maintaining clarity.
In addition to launching applications, the program can be used as a tool for managing frequently used documents, multimedia files or Internet addresses.

Menu data is written to one ini file, password data to one data file. This allows easy backup of all o data and program configuration. In the case of an ini file, also access to the stored information in text form.
