TorkilsMicMuter is a small and free program that allows you to easily mute your microphone using a keyboard shortcut. It's ideal for use when you don't want others to hear what you're saying, such as when using video chat or recording audio.

The program is very easy to use. After installation, just run the program and click on the "Setup" button. In the settings you can select the hotkey you want to use to mute the microphone. You can also select whether you want the program to display a visual signal in the corner of the screen when the microphone is muted.

When you want to mute the microphone, just press the hotkey you selected. The microphone will be muted and a visual signal will be displayed on the screen. To turn the microphone back on, simply press the hotkey again.
