ID3 renamer

If you need to bulk rename files in a directory according to ID3 labels and a specified "formula" (for example: (%Track) %Artist - %Title). This function is very "smart" because you can compose the file name as you want and use the variables from the ID3 tag in the file name.

You need to write them with "%" at the beginning and then follow them with the ID3 tag section (exactly, it is capitalized as it is written in the drop down menu). Do you have a bunch of MP3 files in your directory and need to write the same information (e.g.: artist or album)? You can write it in manually, but with a large number of files you probably won't be able to sing it.

If you use the ID3 renamer, everything is a matter of a few clicks. Need to clean up some parts of the ID3 label? Use ID3 renamer and don't fill anything in. Need to remove diacritics? Click on the extension and you're done. ID3 renamer can even create a new tag if it's not already in the file, so you can write to new files in peace. You can also populate the tag by filename (similar to renaming). You specify a sample,and which part is which tag no. ID3 renamer then writes everything. The sample is entered as RE. You can also populate the tag by searching the FreeDB database for the CD. The database has a complete description of the CD and it is then easy to populate the tag with this information. ID3 renamer fully supports ID3v1, ID3v1.1, ID3v1.1+Winamp extension, ID3v2.x.

The program is small compact and not demanding on computer power It works under all versions of Windows (tested under Win XP, Win 7) Like all my programs, ID3 renamer has the possibility to update (or find out the new version) via the Internet When it is first run, it creates a configuration *.ini file where it saves its settings.
