TestGen

The TestGen program is a test question editor and random test generator for any field in which you need to test someone's knowledge.

TestGen Editor is a database editor of test questions. Questions are grouped into subject areas, may include a picture, and have four possible answers, one or more of which may be marked as correct. The question is assigned a score from 1 to 5 and set a minimum and maximum difficulty from 1 to 9. A question can also be marked as required (it will always be on the test) and also as compulsory (it must be answered correctly).
TestGen Client is a random test generator. Based on the test definition, it selects the required number of questions from a prepared database, shuffles the answers (a,b,c,d) and either prints the test, the score sheet and the correct answers or opens the test for online answering on a PC. In the case of an on-line test, the program monitors the time limit.

The test definition includes:

• number of questions per subject
• the difficulty of the test (questions that have a minimum difficulty less than or equal to the required difficulty and a maximum difficulty greater than or equal to the required difficulty will appear on the test)
• number of questions required for 1 point, 2 points, 3 points, 4 points and 5 points
• number of possible errors throughout the test
• number of possible errors in one subject area
• minimum number of points per subject
• minimum number of points obtained on the whole test
• method of scoring when there are multiple correct answers to a question
• method of solving the required questions
• method of solving compulsory questions

The generated tests including their results are stored in a database and can be returned to. The results of printed tests can be entered into the database - the program then evaluates the test.

Several tests can be defined from one of the question databases, differing in difficulty or evaluation method.
