After starting the program, just press the ESC key and start typing, preferably some unknown text that someone dictates to you.Of course, the dictator has to watch how fast you are typing, so that you don't accidentally fall behind, or vice versa.This program measures the speed of your keystrokes in the unit of number of keystrokes/minute.That is, after 60 seconds the typing stops and the program prints out your speed.To give you a better idea, the average typing speed of a better typist is about 350-400 strokes/minute,with no mistakes in the text.Note here that the program does not correct mistakes!!!The best typists reach about 900 strokes/minute.If you are somewhere like 30 seconds in and you know that this attempt has failed then there is a cancel trace button,which resets the stopwatch,deletes the text and you can start again by pressing the ESC keys.
