Start Trek: Klingon Treason

As the name suggests, the game takes place in a StarTrek setting, but apart from the themes and graphics used, the game doesn't resemble the well-known series much. The player finds himself in the role of a Klingon rebel and his task is to defeat Starfleet.

There are two quite distinct ships, the first - the Bird of Prey (B.O.P.) has a lot of firepower, is very durable but harder to move than most ships in the game. The second ship is the Scout, which is small, fast, and easy to handle, but its distruptors are weaker than the B.O.P.'s, it can carry twice as many photon torpedoes, and it is much less resistant to damage.

The player can use two types of weapons, most often using the distruptors, which are very effective against smaller vessels, mainly due to their cadence. Energy is required to fire the distruptors, and the energy level is constantly replenished, but the lower the energy level, the less damage the distruptor can do. The second weapon is photon torpedoes, whose power is devastating, but before launching the torpedo the player is forced to estimate the angle of fire, which is why torpedoes are suitable against large, fast-moving vessels.
