Secure IP Chat

Secure IP Chat is one of the most secure instant messaging programs with real-time voice and video chat capabilities.

Secure IP Chat is not dependent on third-party servers, within the program you can both host the chat and act as a client. The user hosts the chat on his/her internet connection, therefore no data is sent to/via third party servers. The hosting user can receive an unlimited amount (within the performance of the computer) of incoming chats. Encryption is done using RSA (asymmetric cipher mainly for password exchange) and Rijndael 256bit (symmetric block cipher). Both types of encryption are security standards.
With each message sent, the encryption keys are changed, so it takes a large amount of time for an intruder to decrypt the entire conversation. Eavesdropping on transmitted passwords is not possible due to asymmetric encryption, where both parties exchange data that is only usable to encrypt, not decrypt, messages. Of course, it is possible to send files encrypted.
A very useful feature is the ability to require user authorization, either with a common password or with a username and password. Secure IP Chat uses UPnP to automatically open ports on the router, so even for hosting chat, there is usually no need to configure network devices.

No special network settings are needed to connect to the chat server.
