Creating portable apps

Portable Launcher is a simple tool that lets you create portable apps from regular apps. Portable apps can be used on any computer without installation. This is ideal for using your favorite applications on the go or on computers that do not have installation permissions.

To create a portable application, follow these steps:

1. Download and extract the Portable Launcher file.

2. Copy the application you want to port to the `App` folder in the expanded Portable Launcher folder.

3. Open the `Dataportable.ini` file in a text editor.

4. In the `[portableLauncher]` section, edit the `appDir` value to the path to the directory where you copied the application.

5. Edit the `exeName` value to the name of the application executable.

6. Save the `portable.ini` file and close it.

Now your portable application is ready to use. To launch it, simply double-click the `portable.exe` file in the Portable Launcher's expanded folder.

Portable Launcher supports most common applications. However, some applications that use registry settings to run may not be supported. If you are having trouble running a particular application, you can try to find help on the Portable Launcher website.
