When Sara Black, curator of the Caribbean Maritime Museum, received a package from a mysterious messenger, she was unwittingly drawn into an ancient conflict.

She found an artifact inside the package and seconds later, assailants entered her museum and robbed her. The artifact was gone. Sara desperately put her head in her hands as she realized that she was once again falling headlong into another nightmare from the depths.

Not long after, Sara stepped onto the shores of Kingsmouth, a forgotten fishing town with an incredible secret. A supposed messenger boy has revealed the sad truth to her: he and all the other townsfolk are suffering under a curse that has gradually turned them into terrifying mutated sea creatures... and this curse was sent by none other than Mayor Murray and the old sea devil himself, Davy Jones.
