Thus, the developers behind Need for Speed SHIFT were the same developers behind successful games such as GT Legends and GTR 2.

The latest installment of Need for Speed SHIFT has moved away from the "arcade" spirit of the last installments in the series and has gone towards circuit racing. You won't see the cop chases or tuning that were in the last few installments. There are, however, some very broad vehicle customisation options indeed.

In addition to the very realistic graphics, the game surprises with realistic car behaviour. If you're used to cornering at 200km/h from previous installments, this one will quickly wean you off that. Also a very nice change is the possibility to see from the cockpit of the car.

Photorealistic cars and tracks await you in the game - there are nearly 70 licensed cars, including the Pagani Zonda F, Audi RS4 and Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, and more than 15 real-life locations such as Willow Springs and Laguna Seca, as well as fictional circuits in central London and Tokyo.
