napari harnesses the power of Python to enable fast and interactive viewing, annotation and analysis of large multi-dimensional images.

napari is a fast, interactive, multi-dimensional image viewer with a dynamic ecosystem of plugins that extends its capabilities to address a variety of domain-specific visualization and analysis needs. It is built on Qt (for GUI), vispy (for powerful GPU-based rendering), and the scientific Python stack (numpy, scipy, and scikit-image).

napari is an open source project on GitHub that facilitates transparency, reusability, and extensibility.

At its core, it provides important browser features that are immediately available, such as support for large multidimensional data, "layers" for simultaneous visualization of images, models, and analysis results, and easy manual interactive annotation in 3D.
