XnView

A tool that is designed mainly for viewing images. Furthermore, the program allows functions that are otherwise found only in graphic editors. It can read around 500 different formats (including multi-page and animated). Some formats require plug-ins.

Other features of the program are:

• cut, copy
• taking screenshots, creating thumbnails
• batch conversion, slide show
• use of effects (lenses, waves, ...), use of filters (blur, emboss, ...)
• changing colour depth, adjusting brightness and contrast, resizing the image

XnView is one of the top free image viewers available. In addition, the program has multiplatform capability and support for 44 languages.
