MPlayer

The best open source player ever. It uses libavcodec by default. Thanks to all possible parameters specified in the command line, it allows easy startup via a batch file, e.g. on a CD. In doing so, the target machine does not need to have any codec installed, eliminating the problem of versions etc. Plays MPEG/VOB, AVI, Ogg/OGM, VIVO, ASF/WMA/WMV, QT/MOV/MP4, RealMedia, Matroska, NUT, NuppelVideo, FLI, YUV4MPEG, FILM, RoQ, PVA files. It can watch VideoCD, SVCD, DVD, 3ivx, DivX 3/4/5 and also WMV.
