MIPS

MIPS 2.0 is a tutorial software that allows various methods of image preprocessing and can perform various operations on the image. The main emphasis is on simplicity and clarity of all operations.
The C++ Builder 5.0 environment was used for the implementation. The program is mainly focused on the following specific modules for microscopy:

• Geometric Transformations
• Band profile
• Histogram operations
• Filtering with Fourier transform
• Flat-Field Correction
• Generation of precisely defined noise and synthetic objects
• Arithmetic and logical operations on the image
• Transmission characteristics (16 LUTs)
• Convolutional and non-linear functions
• Binary and grey-tone Morphology
• Multi-frame averaging
• Basic operations for color image processing.
