Supported Features:
- ActiveSync acts as a gateway between a Windows PC and a Windows Mobile-equipped device, allowing you to sync Microsoft Outlook information, Microsoft Office documents, images, music, videos, and apps to and from your device.
- In addition to synchronizing with your desktop computer, ActiveSync can synchronize Microsoft Outlook information directly with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, so you can update your email, calendar, tasks, and contact information wirelessly even when you're not at your desktop or Tablet PC.*
- New features added to Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 include: several changes have been made to fix issues related to setup, partnering and connectivity with your computer and Microsoft Exchange server.
- More includes a Troubleshooter that scans the computer and device to identify potential problems and offers information and steps to resolve them.
- Customers using devices equipped with Windows Mobile 5.0 and the Messaging and Security Feature Pack who sync with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 or Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 will be able to take advantage of the following enhanced features included in ActiveSync 4.5:
- Direct Push Technology
- Local device data wipe
- Certificate authentication against Microsoft Exchange
- Customers using Windows Mobile 6 who are synchronizing with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 will be able to take advantage of the following enhanced features:
- HTML emails
- E-mails protected by Information Rights Management (IRM).
