MetroTextual fully supports syntax highlighting for C#, XML, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, CSS, Python, and SQL languages.MetroTextual will automatically load the most appropriate Syntax Highlighter based on the extension of the file you are editing.

MetroTextual is clean, simple and elegant. There's just enough UI to be useful but not annoying while you're working.

Lightning Speed

MetroTextual is incredibly fast, thanks to its clever use of multi-threading. What does that mean in simple terms? MetroTextual can handle huge amounts of text without slowing down. Within reason, of course.

Impressive compatibility

MetroTextual can read and edit text using any Windows supported character encoding system. Unicode is used exclusively throughout the application, and right-to-left (RTL) encoding is also supported.

Always on top

Ideal for note-taking. MetroTextual can be configured to always stay on top of other open windows. Combine this with the window transparency (opacity) feature and you can continue to see below MetroTextual while you type.

MetroTextual regularly saves a backup of your files, so your work will never be lost again.
