Meriel

Meriel is an application designed for user communication. It offers the possibilities of classic text "chat", spoken (phone) calls including conferences with multiple participants, and last but not least, file transfer. Meriel can thus be classified as an IM (instant messaging) and VoIP (voice over IP) communicator.

Meriel is not only a client application for users, but also its own network and protocol. The main priority of this network is to preserve user privacy, which was the reason for its creation. Strong encryption is the basis for all transmissions. Please refer to the FAQ for details. The content of text messages and calls belongs only to the sender and his designated recipient, the network operator is not available and has no way of viewing the content.

Meriel does not contain malicious code, i.e. it does not interfere with user data, nor does it otherwise detect or send any information about the user or the system.
