A simple program for communication especially over a local network. It can of course also be used on the Internet, but the program routes messages to specific IP addresses. It is therefore necessary to know the destination IP address of the computer and in the case of communication over the Internet, this computer cannot be part of the local network over which it connects to the Internet (then it does not have its own unique "Internet" IP address available).
