KiCad

KiCad is an open source electronic design automation (EDA) software package. The programs handle schematic capture and printed circuit board layout with Gerber and IPC-2581 output.

It offers features for schematic creation, integrated circuit simulation, printed circuit board (PCB) design, 3D visualization, and printing or exporting data to a variety of formats. KiCad also includes a high-quality component library with thousands of symbols, dimensional schematics, and 3D models. KiCad has minimal system requirements and runs on Linux, Windows and macOS operating systems.

KiCad's Schematic Editor
supports everything from the most basic schematics to complex hierarchical designs with hundreds of sheets. Create your own symbols or use any of the thousands of symbols you'll find in the official KiCad library. Verify your design with the built-in SPICE simulator and electrical rule checker.

KiCad's PCB Editor
is accessible enough to make it easy to create your first PCB design, yet powerful enough for complex advanced designs. A powerful interactive router and enhanced visualization and selection tools make layout tasks easier than ever.

KiCad's 3D Viewer
makes it easy to inspect your PCB, check mechanical fit, and preview the finished product. A built-in raytracer with customizable lighting can create realistic images that showcase your work.
