iTALC

 

iTALC is a useful and powerful tool that will be used especially by teachers. The program allows you to view and control other computers on your network in several ways. It supports Linux and Windows XP, Vista and 7. The program is completely free and in addition, its source code is fully available.

iTALC was designed for use in schools. Therefore, there are many options for teachers, such as:

• have an overview of what is happening on other computers and create screenshots
• remote computer control
• display the teacher's screen on student computers (e.g. during a demonstration)
• locking computer workstations
• sending text messages to students
• remotely turning on/off and restarting computers
• remote login and logout
• remotely run any commands/scripts
• students can connect directly to lessons from home by installing the iTALC client.
