HDD Ready is a utility designed to maintain communication with your computer's hard drive. Some external drives have an automatic shutdown feature at the factory after a moment of inactivity that cannot be turned off. For example, if you are watching a movie, pause it for a few minutes, and want to watch again, suddenly the movie "bites" and it takes a while for the drive to spin up and get ready to run again. This is exactly what this utility prevents by performing a low-maintenance query of the disk every 5 seconds to keep it running at all times.

Installation:

1. Copy the folder to the disk you want to keep active.
2. Drag the shortcut to the "After Startup" item in the Start menu.
3. Click the shortcut to launch the program.
4. After restarting the computer, the application will automatically start and keep the disk ready at all times.

The utility can be used for an unlimited amount of time, on an unlimited number and type of disks.
