GIFmicro features two optimization modes. "Lossless compression mode" allows you to reduce the file size without reducing the image quality of the file. Unnecessary data written to the GIF file is removed and the file size is reduced as much as possible while maintaining the image quality. "Lossless Compression Mode" intentionally reduces the image quality to further reduce large file sizes. GIF files display colors using a method called "indexed colors". Indexed colors uses an "index" on the colors used in the image from the "global color table". By removing some of this color information (color reduction), the file size can be reduced. It is possible to use the edit option, the color information (how much percentage of the original) is deleted.
