In Windows XP or 2000, if you insert a CD/DVD into the drive or connect a USB drive, Windows rarely lets this event go unnoticed. However, indexing the contents of the disc takes seconds for larger USB hard drives. After the indexing is complete, a dialog box still appears, prompting you to select the action you want to perform on the disk. This dialog box should also be cleaned up somehow. However, this can all be dispensed with if you disable the auto-indexing feature for the disk type in question. That is what this program is designed to do.
