ECTlistener

ECTlistener is a software that is designed to analyze audio signals from any microphone. Depending on the length and volume of the signal, ECTlistener mimics key strokes and sends control codes to the receiving software.

The program was created for people with disabilities (paralysis, or those who have extremely reduced mobility and orientation). It works in conjunction with other programs (e.g. ECTkeyboard). Using a personal computer with a microphone and both the ECTlistener and ECTkeyboard programs, patients can enter the text of a letter using individual voice prompts such as moaning, loud breathing, sniffing, etc. The program is highly customizable and has a user-friendly interface. The default setup takes only a few minutes.
