EarthDesk can turn your desktop into a dynamic world map that displays the current meteorological situation, lighting according to the rotation of the earth and takes into account the moonlight.

Depending on your preference, EarthDesk will either replace the wallpaper or display the map directly in fullscreen mode. The EarthDesk map is very nice, but it doesn't give you any information about countries, cities, mountains, etc.
