This game is not as simple as it seems at first glance. You will never see your character while playing. You have to either anticipate your movement, or orient yourself by collecting stones, or wait for a time interval when you'll see the heart-shaped bonuses that make your orientation easier, as they make for perfect clarity and maintain the style of play in each level. You won't gain any advantage over your enemies like you do in other games. Nor do you always get by with a simple DUCH move. You'll have to fight your way through paths, avoid objects that otherwise take your life on contact, or look for what will give you an extra bonus life count.
