Whenever you create, open or save a document in Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint, that document may retain information (known as metadata) that you did not intend to include or disclose.

Supported file extensions are .Doc, .Xls, and .Ppt.

Metadata information that can be stored in documents:

• Your name
• Your initials
• company or organization name
• your computer name
• name of the network server or hard drive where you saved the document
• names of previous document authors
• document revision
• document version
• hidden text or cells
• comments.
