Codec Tweak Tool

Codec Tweak Tool scans your system to find corrupted filters and codecs, and also lets you view a complete list of installed codecs and manage thumbnail settings.

With this tool, you can, for example:

• Scan the registry to find and remove broken references to codecs and filters.
• Generate a detailed log of all installed DirectShow codecs and filters.
• Enable/disable more than 250 popular codecs and filters (if installed).
• Manage preferred source filters (so-called "splitters").
• Reset settings.
• Back up and restore settings.
• Set preferred decoders in Windows 7/8/10/11.
• Perform various adjustments to disable MS codecs in Windows 7/8/10/11.
• Option to set the 64-bit WMP as the default player.
