Bonjour

Bonjour as a communication protocol was made for Apple devices, but in the SDK version it was released for the Windows operating system to allow networking of Apple (and other) devices with this system as well. The protocol was designed to allow devices on the network to see each other without the user having to set anything up. For example, once installed on a PC, your iPhone can see a computer on the local network. In combination with e.g. the Kodi app, it then allows you to stream video via AirPlay protocol to a PC not only from Apple devices but also e.g. Android devices using the Tubio app (Google Play) where this particular Bonjour protocol is used for transmission.
