Amethyst

Amethyst is a music player aimed at providing an enjoyable music listening experience through its minimalistic, pixel art design and rather soothing visual spectrum of songs.

It works like any other music player. Load your songs, press play and enjoy. Note the emphasis on visuals to make the music listening experience more interactive. The custom cursor is also a neat addition.

In addition, several details about the song are displayed just below the song title. In short, data related to their extension, bit rate, frequency and number of music channels.

Amethyst based on the Electron platform with a system of routing audio using node graphs. The main goal of this project is to create a music player in TypeScript to see how far we can stretch the language and prove that it is possible to provide professional level functionality like most DAW/DAEs, while providing useful tools and customizability to the end user.
