Webmatrix

The new free WebMatrix tool allows users to easily create, edit and publish web pages to the Internet. The software can be used by developers at all levels of knowledge and experience, including, for example, students with basic web development skills. They will also benefit from the instructional video tutorials, "how-to" procedures and other resources that Microsoft has prepared for them with the launch of the new tool.

WebMatrix includes all the tools needed to create, publish and manage the Web. Various templates and open source web applications from nearly forty partners, such as WordPress, Joomla!, DotNetNuke and Umbraco, are available for creating new sites. To speed up creation, WebMatrix offers syntax for multiple programming languages, such as ASP.NET "Razor" or PHP, as well as web helpers that make it easy to embed social networking elements or video.
