Waypoints

Waypoints is a very simple application and intuitive to work with. It allows users of Garmin GPS devices to manage GPX files containing waypoints.

What does the app do?

• Merge multiple individual GPX files into one large, output file.
• When merging, it takes the icon names used by www.geocaching.com and converts them to the icon names used by the MapSource application. This ensures that all caches are displayed with the correct icons available in MapSource.
• The conversion also respects the cache finding information written in the geocache_visits.txt file. Thus, all found caches will have an open chest icon.
• Start the MapSource application, which will also immediately load the last created file with the merged caches. This makes it possible to have the caches displayed along with the underlying map.
