Subtitle Edit is a free (open source) video subtitle editor.

Among its functions and features are:

• Create/edit/sync/translate subtitles
• Conversion between SubRib, MicroDVD, Substation Alpha, SAMI, youtube sbv and other formats
• vdeo player uses DirectShow or VLC media player
• visual sync/subtitle settings (start/end position and speed)
• automatic translation via Google translator or Microsoft Bing translator
• subtitle ripping from (decoded) DVDs
• support for reading and writing UTF-8 and other unicode and ANSI files
• and many many more features!!!!

Users using Win XP must install Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 or later.
