You may have encountered an error message, where the system says that it is missing msvcr100.dll or msvcp100.dll files, these files are part of the support package called Vistal C++ runtime libraries for Visual Studio 2010 and these files are not part of the higher package 2015, so if you run applications that require for example msvcr100.dll or msvcp100.dll files you will have to install this support into the system.
