SetRes

SetRes allows you to change the screen resolution, color depth and refresh rate simply by using a command, e.g. if you connect to a PC using a remote desktop and need to set the screen resolution to match your PC, you can create a batch .bat (.cmd) file and then run it automatically when you connect to the PC. In case you also need to set the other monitor to turn off or switch accordingly, then just add the Microsoft DisplaySwitch command to the batch file.

Sample settings for one monitor and 1920x1080 resolution in a .bat file:
