Rimhill is a program that determines the maximum speed of a CD-ROM at a specified level of your disk. This prevents annoying noises when the cd-rom is in the drive and also speeds up access time, as the changer is rarely used as the drives only need to spin 8x instead of 48x.

The program creates an icon on the taskbar next to the clock where you can select the maximum speed of the drive.

On startup, Rimhill installs the necessary device drivers and registry keys. To remove Rimhill you only need to remove the 'Rimhill.sys' file in the '%SystemRoot%System32 Drivers' directory and remove the registry keys under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Services Rimhill".
