Rhinote

Rhinote is a simple Python/Tkinter script that provides virtual "sticky notes" on the desktop. It is useful for quickly jotting down notes or storing copied text to paste elsewhere later. Text can be cut, copied and pasted; notes can be saved (as plain text) and later viewed and/or edited in Rhinote or any other text editing application. Although there are many "sticky note" programs for virtually all computer platforms, Rhinote is extremely simple, lightweight, and "keyboard friendly."

It is not a full-fledged editor, personal wiki, or complete system for organizing a hierarchy of short documents. Rhinote provides a simple and convenient place to quickly insert chunks of text. It won't slow you down with pointing and clicking because all operations are performed using keyboard shortcuts.
