Reset Settings For Skype

Reset Settings For Skype is a simple hta utility to reset Skype configuration in case of problems.

The following settings can be reset:

• General Skype Settings - only the general settings of the program are deleted and usually nothing needs to be set again when you start Skype
• User Settings - settings for the selected profile (correspondence history and transferred files are not deleted). After starting, you will need to re-enter your password and set up the program again.
• Emoticons - the database of emoticons and pictures will be deleted
• AppData folder - just renames the folder to create a new one, contains received files, etc.
• Windows Audio Service - restarts the AudioSrv service
• Internet Explorer Configuration - displays a window to reset Internet Explorer settings, then the user must choose which settings they would like to reset
• Windows Firewall - removes all firewall rules that control Skype's access to the network. It also disables outbound rules that block access to remote servers
• Hosts file - creates a backup copy of the Hosts file and sets it to the default settings
• Flash Player - deletes Adobe Flash Player settings files
• Windows Installer - configures and restarts the Windows Installer service
• Network Setup - updates network adapter configuration and clears DNS cache
• Windows Registry - removes all partitions from the Windows Registry that store Skype settings
