Breaking .jpg images without loss of quality
RealWorld Photos is able to perform lossless and semi-lossless editing of jpeg images. If only part of the image is altered, which is typical when removing imperfections from photos or adding watermarking, RealWorld Photos will keep the unaltered parts exactly as they were - copying them directly from the original without re-compressing them. The entire process is completely transparent to the user.

Conduct compound batch operations
The application can be used for filtering or adding effects to multiple images at once. It is possible to resize, add watermarks, rotate, change format, apply filters (including Adobe Photoshop compatible plug-ins) or do a combination of the above. Batch operations can also be triggered using so-called droplets, which you simply drag and drop files onto with your mouse after placing them on the desktop.

Users can create their own batch operations using Java script. Scripted operations can access an image pixel by pixel, run filters, work with temporary canvases, or use drawing tools to draw, for example, smoothed polygons.

Customizing the application
RealWorld Photos was designed for high customizability. Software developers can create custom plug-ins to enrich almost every aspect of the application. In addition to the usual plug-ins for image filtering, import and export, it is also possible to add drawing tools (e.g. Bezier curves) or windows (e.g. histogram). Third-party plug-ins have the same capabilities as the default plug-ins.
