QOwnNotes

Free open source note-taking in plain text files with Nextcloud / ownCloud integration.

To use the synchronization features, you need to install ownCloud on your computer and QOwnNotesAPI on the ownCloud server.

QOwnNotes features a feature-rich and user-friendly interface that ensures high overall availability and efficiency.

Features and Functions:

• Notes can be created, edited, viewed and deleted.
• Notes list is displayed.
• Old versions of your notes can be restored from the ownCloud server (install the QOwnNotesAPI interface on the server).
• Discarded notes can be restored from the ownCloud server (install the QOwnNotesAPI interface on the server).
• Searching for notes in substrings is possible and the search results are highlighted in the notes.
• The application can be controlled using keyboard shortcuts.
• External changes to note files are monitored (notes or note list are reloaded).
• The differences between the current note and the externally changed note are displayed in a dialog box.
• Note highlighting in markdown and preview mode in markdown.
• Notes get their name from the first line of note text (as in the ownCloud notes web app), and note text files are automatically renamed if the first line of a note is changed.
