ProcTerm

Some tools only allow you to disable processes running under the desktop. Processes that are running under system permissions are not shut down or their tools are not displayed. While other tools allow you to shut down any process, if multiple processes with the same name are running, the tools will only shut down one, starting with the priority (size) ID.

ProcTerm is a utility that terminates processes either by process ID or by process name. Obviously, each process has a universal ID, so only one given process can be terminated by ID. However, by process name, the ProcTerm utility will terminate all processes that have the same name.

By process name, the utility can find out all the IDs of processes that are running with that name. The function uses WINAPO and terminates processes through the kernel. Shutting down processes is almost instantaneous and efficient. The utility includes an implemented option to list (Show List) all running processes and an option to display the path from which the process is running.

Since version 3.5, ProcTerm can be run in a more traditional way than via cmd. After running, ProcTerm.log is created in the same folder as ProcTerm.exe, which contains a complete listing of running processes with Pid and path with file location. ProcTerm.exe is necessarily run as Administrator.
